Gujrat man kills daughter, then fakes her kidnapping

GUJRAT: A merciless man allegedly murdered his minor daughter by throwing her in a canal and then faked her kidnapping in Gujrat district of Punjab, SAMAA reported on Wednesday. According to police, the suspect took his six-year-old daughter to a canal some 40 kilometers from his home and drowned her to death. He later approached the police and lodged a kidnapping case. On suspicions, police detained the girl’s father for interrogation, leading to his confession. He told the police that he killed his daughter and then faked her kidnapping in order to get government’s financial help. The suspect further said that he was under debt and took the extreme step to arrange funds to return the loan. - SAMAA
