Rains, thunderstorms wreak havoc in Bannu

BANNU: Two people were killed and 50 others injured in rain-related incidents across Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Samaa reported Wednesday. According to our correspondent, the Bannu district received heavy monsoon rains last night which crippled life and affected local people, causing damages to infrastructure. Several incidents of roof and wall collapses were reported in different areas following windstorm and heavy rains. Two people including a woman died and 50 others wounded. The victims also included children. They were shifted to the Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital, rescue officials said. The heavy monsoon downpour damaged electricity poles, leaving several areas without power. – SAMAA
