
KARACHI: At least five people including a woman sustained injuries in a firing incident near a market in Karachi area of Baldia Town in Sunday’s wee hours.
The violent affray took place in Baldia Town in the limit of Madina Colony police station, where two gunmen, Asif and Abid, resorted to firing, injuring five people including a woman.
The wounded have been shifted to Civil Hospital, according to Rescue sources.
According to hospital administration, all five people received gunshot injuries at their legs.
The wounded include Riaz, Shamim, Wasim, Arif and Abrar.
According to SP Baldia, the incident was caused by personal feud. He said Asif and Abid showed up at the victims’ house over an issue involving purchase of dogs. After a brief trade of heated words, the duo opened gunfire and fled the scene, the police official said.
Search for the culprits is in progress, according to police official. –SAMAA
