President to address joint session of Parliament on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain will address the joint session of the two Houses of the Parliament on Thursday (June 4).

The President's address to the Parliament's joint sitting will mark the advent of third parliamentary year of the government of
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).

The presidential address to the joint parliamentary session at the advent of a new parliamentary year is mandatory under Article 6 of the Constitution.

Meanwhile, the budget session of the National Assembly has been summoned on Friday (June 5) at 16:30 hours. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will present the budget for financial year 2015-16.                                   

The Senate session has also been summoned on Friday. - APP
