Man, his daughter killed in Quetta

QUETTA: A man and his daughter were killed in the incident of firing in Quetta Wednesday, police said.

According to the police, the incident took place when unknown assailant opened fire on Joint Road, leaving a man and his daughter dead.

The police said that the accused also sustained bullet injury as the victim resisted him during the attack.

Earlier, four persons were killed and at least eight others injured in the grenade attack on a shop in the provincial capital.

According to police and eyewitnesses, four gunmen riding two motorbikes hurled hand grenades on a shop in city’s Double Road area.

At least ten people sitting in the shop were injured who were later shifted by rescue teams to civil hospital where two of the injured succumbed to injuries. -Samaa
