MQM files defamation case against Imran Khan claiming Rs5 bln in damages

Web DeskKARACHI: Muttahaida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday filed a defamation case against Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf claiming damages to the tune of Rs5 billion for hurling, what it said, unfounded allegations against the MQM chief Altaf Hussain.Talking to media outside the Sindh High Court, MQM Leader Farooq Sattar said that MQM legal aide Barrister Farogh Nasim filed the case on behalf of his party.Sattar said that PTI leader Imran Khan has wrongfully accused MQM Chief Altaf Hussain as being involved in the murder of PTI leader Zahra Shahid in Karachi just a day before May 11 elections. - SAMAA
