Gujranwala Basant night firing victim child dies, another injured by kite-cord

Staff ReportLAHORE: Gujranwala Basant nigh firing victim child has succumbed to injuries in Lahore hospital while another three-year old child has sustained lethal injury by kite-cord today, SAMAA reports on Sunday.Five-year old Sameer sustained critical bullet wounds during Basant night celebration firing in Gujranawala and due to serious condition; he was moved to Lahore for better treatment, where he succumbed to injuries, informed the police.Another three-year old child’s neck sustained serious cut by kite-cord while going to home with his father on a motorbike in Kachi Sattumand area of Gujranwala today. The child was rushed to hospital for immediate medical assistance.In the mean time, Gujranawala police have arrested eighty more kite flyers during ongoing crackdown against the kite flying ban breakers in the city.
