Parliament approves PCNS recommendations

ISLAMABAD: The parliament has approved the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) recommendations on Thursday.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, in his address said that the parliament will implement all the recommendations of the PCNS.
No war can be won without support of the people, the PM said.
National interest and integrity is our priority and we will not compromise on our sovereignty, Gilani said.
Earlier, Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) had agreed on recommendations regarding the NATO supply route and ties with the US.
These recommendations were agreed by all the political parties in the committee and have been presented in the joint session of Parliament.
PCNS Chairman Senator Raza Rabbani presented unanimous recommendations of PCNS in a joint session of the parliament.
Revised recommendations are unanimous, Rabbani said.
He also said that Pakistan’s sovereignty shall not be compromised.
Pakistan and US both will respect each other’s security, said one of the recommendations.
Salala checkpost attack was violation of international laws, Raza Rabbani said.
Drone attacks must be stopped, he said.
Rabbani said the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the UN resolution. SAMAA
