CPPA moves NEPRA for tariffs hike
Staff ReportISLAMABAD: Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has Thursday requested National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to raise power tariffs by more Rs. 1.13 per unit.The request for tariffs hike is intended for the month of June under fuel adjustment.It should be mentioned here that a total of 8, 798 Gigawatt electricity was sold to distribution companies during June.According to NEPRA, electricity sold during the month of June was worth Rs. 55.95 billion. Meantime, 4.24 percent electricity was wasted as transmission losses. SAMAA
