Ghotki Feeder breach inundates 700 villages near Kashmore

Staff ReportKASHMORE: Over 700 villages were deluged after a 200-foot breach appeared in embankment in a canal near Kashmore. The gushing water from the breach inundated crops sprawling hundreds of acres. The breach in Gohtki Feeder canal passing through near Kashmore, is persistently letting out water. Local people are striving to divert the water.The farmers complained their cotton and sugarcane crops are being destroyed owing to massive water.Irrigation Department plugged water outlet for Ghotki Feeder at Guddu . Meantime, the water from the breach has brought Guddu-Kashmore Road under water. SAMAA
