Flood victims in Badin, Thatta in dire need of relief

Staff ReportBADIN: The most of flood-hit people could not be provided with a proper place despite the lapse of ten days after flooding in Badin and Thatta rendered thousands of people homeless, SAMAA reported Saturday.Flood victims lying under open skies are now braving against epidemics including gastro diseases in areas destroyed by floodwater.The affected people in Badin are waiting for government help lying by roadside. Despite numerous protest demonstrations, they are not being provided anything to eat.Meantime, victims in Thatta want potable water and meal for at least one time a day, so that they can live on.The affected people said children are incurring gastro-related diseases for drinking contaminated water.
