Staff ReportKARACHI: The low ratio of flood victims’ deaths is a triumph of the government; challenges were faced in the past and now again the challenge of flood is being faced with help of the nation, said President Asif Ali Zardari here today, SAMAA reported on Monday.After completing his foreign tour, President Zardari has returned in country and to look after flood relief activities in Sindh he has decided to stay in Bilawal House, Karachi for some time.President Zardari chaired three separate meetings of Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) federal ministers, Sindh’s provincial ministers and local business community.During meetings, the President said that all possible means are being used to rescue flood victims and if needed helicopters will also be hired from abroad to boost the rescue efforts. He added that a monitoring room will be established in Bilawal House to monitor the flood rescue activities and he (Zardari) himself will keep an eye on that monitoring room.“The UN secretary General has assured of rendering all possible help and every achievable action is being taken to help the flood victims,” the president said, adding that this area is facing changes in the atmosphere and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was taken into confidence over it; he was conveyed that we all will have to fight with it mutually.The business community offered all possible help to the government for tackling the flood caused problems.
