LHC instructs Punjab Govt. to issue unvarying fees’ notification for dengue tests

Staff ReportLAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has instructed Punjab Government to issue an official notification for unvarying standardized fee, Rs. 90, for dengue tests across the province, SAMAA reported on Thursday.The court has issued this order on same kind of various pleas of Lahore’s different testing laboratories.The laboratories plead in their petitions that they are being treated discriminately regarding fees of the dengue tests.It was argued in the pleas of the laboratories that many other laboratories including Ittefaq Hospital are charging more than the fixed fee for dengue tests and no action is being taken against those.Justice Khalid Mehmood of Lahore High Court said in his remarks that there is no room for discriminatory treatment for some and relaxation for the others and it will not be allowed at any cost.
