NEPRA approves power tariff raise for KESC, QESCO

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday has given approval of power tariff raise by 15 to 21 percent for Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) and 58 paisa per unit for Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC).
According to a notification issued today, NEPRA has given approval of 50 paisa to Rs. 1.85 per unit power tariff raise for QESCO.
Fifty paisa per unit increase has been allowed for those consumers who use up to 100 units, 90 paisa for 100 to 300 units users, Rs. 1.75 for 300 to 700 units users and Rs. 1.85 per unit for those who use more than 700 units.
NEPRA has approved Rs. 1.25 per unit for tariff of general power supply and Rs. 1.85 per unit for agricultural consumers.
