NEPRA allows KESC to raise power tariff by Rs.1.54/unit

KARACHI: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday approved fresh raise of Rs.1.54 per unit in electricity tariff of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) in the form of fuel adjustment charges.
According to NEPRA, the regulatory authority has given approval for Rs.3.48 per electricity unit for the month of March. This also includes raise of Rs.1.94 for semester tariff. The federal government will provide subsidy in this regard.
The NEPEA also approved an increase of 69 paisa for the month of April.
Additional tariff will be charged in current month’s bills. SAMAA
