Death toll in Swat floods, rains rises to 277

SWAT: Torrential rains continued to whip the scenic Swat valley on Monday, causing further loss of life and property.
Another young man drowned in Swat River at Faza Ghat point, increasing the number of deaths caused by the rains and floods to 277.
Thousands of tourists are still stranded in Kalam and Bahrain areas affected by the devastating rain-triggered floods. There is no electricity in the entire district for the last 14 day. All business activities and factories are lying closed.
More than 800, 000 people stranded in flood-stricken areas are faced with acute flood shortage. Army helicopters are airlifting the trapped people to safety and are providing relief goods.
The affected people complain that federal and provincial governments have badly failed to carry our rescue operation. SAMAA
