ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani parliament would have the final word on the Kerry-Lugar bill, decided the prime minister and president in a meeting the day after a media storm erupted over the army’s comments.

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik was among the officials present at the meeting whether Pakistan’s top brass discussed the ISPR press release issued Wednesday, saying the army had reservations on the legislation but that parliament should have the last word. The president and PM met separately after the combined meeting as well. SAMAA
