PEPCO requests govt. to increase power tariff

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) has requested the government to increase the power tariff by Rs 1.44 per unit.
PEPCO sources told SAMAA that if the government is going to have no objection ob the increased power tariff then the prices would be increased by April, 2010.
PEPCO sources stated that PEPCO has requested the government to increase the power tariff due to increased prices of furnace oil in the international market in February, 2010. SAMAA
