SL team attack planned in Lahore: Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has disclosed that the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team was planned in Lahore.
The Interior Ministry has said in a report that the plotting took place in Gulshan Iqbal Park. Four out of the five terrorists were linked to the Punjab and one from the NWFP. Two of them were linked to Dera Ghazi Khan, one to Nankana Sahib, Rawalpindi, and Dera Ismail Khan.
The ten terrorists came from Waziristan to Lahore for the atack. They came in groups of two and three and stayed in Faisalabad for 10 to 12 days.
They used to convene meetings in different parts of Lahore - Minar-e Pakistan park, the Daewoo stand, and other public areas.
They had planned to abduct the Sri Lankan team players to demand the release of two of their men.
