Pakistan star pacer Haris Rauf has made an impressive Yorkshire debt at the Country Championship as he helped bowl Gloucester out for 277 on Thursday.
The right-arm pacer registered the figures of three for 81 from his 16-over spell on the opening day of the game after Yorkshire opted to field.
He claimed wickets of Ryan Higgins (6), Tom Lace (0) and Matt Taylor (4) in the span of just 13 deliveries against Gloucester.
“It was really impressed with him, and he is a good signing,” said Matthew Fisher, a fellow pacer who claimed figures of four for 19 in the game.
“When you sign someone like that who bowls really good pace, you’re going to have natural spells where he probably goes for a few and spells where he picks up three or four wickets,” he added.
At stumps, Yorkshire reached 37 without any loss with openers Adam Lyth (24) and George Hill (3) were out in the middle.
