Indo-Pak fans eager to watch Rizwan, Pujara bat together
Indo-Pak fans are in for a treat as Pakistan’s wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and India’s top-order batter Cheteshwar Pujara are set to make their Sussex debuts against Derbyshire, during the County Championship match The Incora County Ground which begins today.
Pujara will play the County Championship and Royal London One-Day competition for the majority of this season. Meanwhile, Rizwan will be available for County Championship and T20 cricket until mid-July.
Sussex Head Coach Ian Salisbury is happy to see the talented cricketers play for his side.
“I am extremely excited to be able to bring in players of Rizwan and Pujara’s quality into the side. Not only are they absolute world-class cricketers that will boost our performances on the pitch, but to have them around the boys and in the dressing room can only be a positive,” said Salisbury ahead of the match.
Fans on both sides of the border are also looking forward to the opportunity of seeing Rizwan and Pujara bat together.
