Sunny Leone arrives in Dhaka but there’s a twist…
Bollywood actor Sunny Leone Saturday arrived in Dhaka for her film shoot despite the fact the government has already denied her work permit.
She posted a picture from Dhaka airport. “So happy to be in this beautiful country,” the Ragini MMS 2 star wrote.
The actor is all set to make her debut in the Bangladeshi film, Soldier, directed by Shamim Ahamed Roni. However, her work permit for the film was cancelled.
Earlier this month, Bangladesh’s information ministry had allowed ten Indian artists, including Sunny Leone, to visit Bangladesh for the filming of the project.
However, Sunny Leone, whose document name is Karenjit Kaur Weber, was denied the work permit later. The other artists, on the other hand, are permitted to work from March 5 to September 4 under certain conditions, Indian media reported.
Sunny Leone has recently appeared in Vikram Bhatt's Anamika streaming on OTT platform MX Player. In the series, she played the role of a person suffering from amnesia.
This is not the first time the Bollywood actor has faced a struggle in Bangladesh. In 2015, she had to cancel her scheduled trip due to protests.
