The second Test match between Pakistan and Australia has begun in Karachi, where odds are favouring the home side at the National Stadium.

After settling with a draw in Rawalpindi, now both sides are squaring off at the historic National Stadium – the venue where Pakistan have never lost against Aussies.

This is the ninth time the two teams are meeting at the venue where Pakistan have won five games and drawn three.

The first time these two giants of world cricket met at the venue was back in 1956, where Pakistan emerged victorious by nine wickets.

Their second meeting at the National Stadium came in 1959, where the two sides settled with a draw. The results stayed the same in the third meeting at the stadium in 1964.

The venue once again hosted the two sides after 16 years in 1980, where the home side emerged victorious by seven wickets.

Two years later in 1982, Australia once again tried their luck to conquer Pakistan, but failed as they were handed an innings and 188 runs defeat.

Once again, after over a decade in 1994, the two sides met at the venue where Australia came so close in solving Pakistan mystery but fell short as they suffered a one-wicket defeat.

In their last meeting in 1998, the two sides once again settled with a draw.

After 24 years, the venue is once again hosting the two sides, let’s wait and watch what the outcome of the game.
