Karachi SHO arrested for helping drug peddlers

The Sindh police have arrested a Station House Officer (SHO) posted in Karachi’s Model Colony for releasing drug peddlers in return for money, SAMAA TV reported Friday.

According to the police, SHO Anees-ur-Rehman has been arrested and sent to jail for questioning. An FIR has been registered as well.

Earlier, on Thursday, drug peddlers were arrested in the area. The police recovered drugs worth hundreds and thousands of rupees from their possession.

The high-ups have said that a formal investigation will be initiated against him.
