Karachi wakes up to rain, more to come

Weather turns pleasant

The people of Karachi woke up to pleasant weather Tuesday morning. Rain with cool winds washed away the Tuesday blues.

Drizzling was first reported in Tariq Road, Bahadurabad, Shahra-e-Faisal, and Malir. Following with the scattered showers in North Karachi, North Nazimabad, and Saddar.

According to the Met Office, the showers will persist for the next 24 hours, while the weather will stay pleasant and cloudy. The city's temperature was recorded at 17.5 degrees Celsius while the humidity rate stayed near 95%.

Earlier, chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said a weak westerly wave is passing over from upper parts of the country with its trough extending to southeast Balochistan adjoining Sindh.

Under its influence, light rain has been forecast in Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Jamshoro, and Karachi.

Meanwhile, rain with thunderstorms are predicted in upper and central parts of the country. More snowfall has been forecast in Murree, Galiyat, Nathia Gali, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Haveli, Astore and Hunza.
