Domestic worker mysteriously found dead in Lahore

A 20-year-old woman, working as a domestic worker, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Lahore's Valencia Town Saturday, the police said.

The victim's brother accused her employers of killing her and has registered an FIR against them under sections of attempted murder. He said his sister had been working for them for over a year now.

"On January 29, at 7am, we got a call from Muhammad Khan. He said my sister wasn't opening the door of the servant quarter," the complainant told the police. "When we reached the site and broke into the room, we saw my sister's body hanging from the ceiling fan."

Khan and his wife were present there too, he added.

The police was immediately called. The body has been moved to the hospital for a post-mortem examination and the crime site sealed.

Investigations into the case have begun. The police have begun questioning Khan and his wife.
