Top five leading wicket-takers of HBL PSL
The HBL Pakistan Super League season seven is all set to start from today (Thursday) with Karachi Kings taking on the defending champions Multan Sultans.
Before the tournament gets underway we have compiled a list of top five wicket-takers of the HBL PSL history.
Wahab Riaz


Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz is the leading wicket take of the tournament’s history. In the last six editions, he has claimed a total of 94 wickets in just 67 games.
He has only bowled two maiden overs in his entire HBL PSL career and has an economy of 7.38. His best bowling figures are four for 17.
The 36-year-old just needs six wickets to become the first-ever bowler in the League’s history to complete 100 wickets.
Hasan Ali

With 72 wickets in 55 games, Islamabad United’s Hasan Ali, who has previously represented Peshawar Zalmi, is the second-highest wicket-getter in the tournament’s history.
He only managed to bowl a maiden over once in his HBL PSL stint since making his debut in 2016, and has an economy of 7.33. His best bowling figures are four for 17.
Faheem Ashraf

Islamabad United’s star all-rounder Faheem Ashraf is third on the list with 55 wickets to his name in just 39 games.
Since making his debut in 2018, he has also bowled a maiden over and has an economy of 7.84. His best figures are six for 19.
Mohammad Nawaz

Quetta Gladiators’ all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz also has 55 wickets to his name in 61 matches. The 2019 winning squad member bowled a maiden in his HBL PSL career and has an economy of 7.17.
His best bowling figures are four for 13.
Mohammad Amir

Karachi Kings’ bowling spearhead Mohammad Amir is fifth on the list with 54 wickets in 59 games.
He is the first player in league history to claim a hat-trick. The left-arm quick bowled six maiden overs in his HBL PSL career and has an economy of 7.38.
His best bowling figures are four for 25.
