Pakistan’s first T20I against West Indies at the Kingston Oval in Barbados has been abandoned due to rain.

The match was initially reduced to nine overs a side after rain first interrupted the play following the toss, which Pakistan won and opted to field first.

After completion of West Indies innings, the rain returned and there was no play possible at the last inspection 2:00 PM local time.

As far as West Indies batting is concerned, thanks to captain Kieron Pollard’s 22-run cameo off nine delivers, the side managed to reach 85 for five in their allotted nine overs.

For Pakistan, Hasan Ali was the pick among the bowlers as he claimed figures of two for 11 in his two-over spell.

The Second match of the four-match series will be played on July 31 at Providence Stadium.
