Aamir Sohail looking forward to head NCA
ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan captain Aamir Sohail said he looks forward to spearheading the work of National Cricket Academy (NCA).
"It is a big challenge and I will do my best to rise up to this task," Aamir told media after taking over as Director National Cricket Academy.
He said National Cricket Academy had the potential to produce quality players for the national senior and junior cricket teams and he hopes to tap this potential.
He pointed out that he had fulfilled his responsibilities to the best of his abilities when he was assigned the job of National Chief Selector in the aftermath of World Cup 2003 fiasco.
"I did my best to resusicate the national cricket in the months following the World Cup 2003 debacle," said the former Pakistan opening batsman.
