Central Punjab registered a nine-wicket win over Balochistan in the 22nd match of the National T20 Cup in Rawalpindi on Monday.

Captain Babar Azam led from the front as his side successfully chased the 126-run target in just 13.4 overs.

The prolific batsman played a captain's knock of 64 off 40 deliveries after hitting nine boundaries and two sixes.

He also put on an opening partnership of 86 with veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal who made 33 off 27 deliveries with six fours to his name.  

Amad Butt took the only wicket for Balochistan.

Earlier, medium pacer Ahmed Bashir's four-wicket haul helped Central Punjab restrict Balochistan to 125-8.

Captain Haris Sohail top-scored with 41 off 36 deliveries with the help of three boundaries and three sixes.

Bashir returned with figures of 4-23 in his four overs.
