Today's outlook: Rains lash Pakistan, Sindh to appoint Karachi administrator

Here are some news stories we are following today (Friday):
- The Met Office has predicted rainfall in different pars of Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Karachi remains submerged after heavy showers on Thursday.
- The Sindh government is likely to appoint the Karachi administrator. The candidates include two bureaucrats: Najam Ahmed Shah and Syed Hassan Naqvi. One of them will take over after Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar steps down after completing his four years in power by August end.
- Pakistan will play their first T20I game of the three-match series against England in Manchester. The game will begin at 10pm. The visitors lost the Test series 1-0.
- At least 41 people have been killed in rain-related incidents in Karachi during the latest spell of monsoon that started on Tuesday and broke a 90-year record, says Faisal Edhi.
- Four children and two women playing in the rain were killed when a retaining wall collapsed in Saima Square One in Gulistan-e-Jauhar near Millennium Mall in Karachi’s second incident being described as land sliding.
