The Pakistan Cricket Board will discuss the future of the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in its Board of Governors meeting on Friday.

“The 58th meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the Pakistan Cricket Board will be held online on Friday morning,” the PCB stated in its press release. “The virtual session has been agreed to safeguard health and safety of the members as well as the PCB management due to the rising Covid-19 cases and keeping in consideration the lockdown now imposed in Lahore.”

The 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League was halted following the round-robin stage when an overseas player started to show symptoms of the coronavirus.

Since then, all cricketing activities in the country remain suspended. The board of governors will also discuss the model constitution for cricket clubs and club affiliation along with operation rules. The cricket board’s budget for 2020-21 will also be part of the agenda in the meeting.
