Sheikh Rasheed recovers from COVID-19

Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed has recovered from the novel coronavirus, it was reported Thursday.

The minister announced in a tweet on June 8 that he had gone into self-isolation after testing positive for the virus. He claimed that he wasn't showing any symptoms.

Many politicians in Pakistan have contracted the virus including Saeed Ghani, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal and Shehbaz Sharif, to name a few. The country has reported 190,340 known cases and 3,792 fatalities. At least 78,826 people have recovered.
