Asia's largest maweshi mandi opens in Karachi
6,000 sacrificial animals brought in within three days
The largest maweshi mandi in Asia has been set up along the Super Highway in Karachi.
Yawar Raza, a spokesperson for the cattle market management, says they have installed disinfectant tunnels and are sanitising every animal that will be up for sale this year.
He says children below the age of 15 and the elderly people won’t be allowed to visit the market.
