10-year-old boy killed during neighbouring father-son clash in Karachi
A 10-year-old boy, identified as Naeem, was killed after a bullet fired during a nieghbourhood clash hit him Sunday night in Gulshan-e-Iqbal's Benazir Bhutto Goth in Karachi.
There was an ongoing conflict between a father and son, Hanif and Jehangir, living in his neighbourhood. During an argument, Jehangir fired at his father, but the bullet hit Naeem instead.
According to the police, the boy passed away on spot after which his body was shifted to Jinnah hospital.
"We heard loud voices outside and went to see what was happening," the boy's uncle said.
"The suspects are residents of Manghopir and had been visiting their daughter and sister's house in Karachi," a police officer said, adding that their conflict was over money matters. Both of them fled the crime scene.
The pistol that Jehangir had fired has been seized, the officer added.
The police have kept one of their relatives in custody for interrogation and are on the lookout for both of them.
