Leading traders and industrialists of the country on Wednesday met with Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss the country’s economic situation. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and federal ministers also attended the meeting.
Mian Mohammad Mansha, the founder of Nishat Group, demanded that the government should disband the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) if it wants to see the economy perform better, SAMAA TV reported.
He said he had extended the same advice to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Mansha said like many other business people he, too, had been embroiled in NAB cases.
State Minister for Information Farrukh Habib said that the government can reform the accountability process but NAB cannot be shut down.
However, he agreed that the business transactions should not be put under the microscope of NAB.
