KARACHI: Pakistani cricketers, Sohail Tanvir (pacer) and Kamran Akmal (wicketkeeper) have arrived home safe and sound, after they remained stuck in Mumbai for two days in the face of brutal terror attacks in the financial capital metropolis.

Both the cricketers were staying at the Taj Land End hotel when the menace took place on Wednesday night and after spending some anxious moments there, both have now come back home via Bahrain.

Talking to mediamen at airport here Tanvir said, I feel sorry for those who lost their lives and my sympathy goes with the relatives of those who fell victim to this havoc, adding “India and Pakistan must be realistic in their approaches and instead of raising security concerns and boycotting to play in each other countries, they must know both are equally affected terror victim.”

To convince other nations to play matches in our countries, we must prove to them that we are safe for cricket by touring each other’s country, he added.

It was terrifying for everyone what happened in Mumbai. I guess it was a sensible thing to postpone the Champions League," Kamran said on telephone before leaving Mumbai.

Kamran and Akmal were supposed to represent Rajasthan Royals in the December 3-10 Champions Trophy but the Twenty20 extravaganza was put off due to the terror strikes.
