May is one of the hottest months in Pakistan and it brings with it the risk of heatstroke and many other heat-related diseases. This May Muslims will also be observing Ramazan and will need to pay special attention to their diets, especially at sehri time. One great addition to your sehri are falsas -- they're filled with magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, carbohydrates and vitamins A and C and are easy on the stomach. They'll also keep your energy levels high all day. Rani Apa shared a falsa syrup recipe so that you can enjoy the benefits of this superfood all year long. “Wearing gloves, take a fistful of the fruit and smash it with your hands. The seeds will separate themselves,” she said on SAMAA TV’s programme Naya Din. You can make falsa syrup by adding falsa pulp, sugar and rosewater and cooking it on a low flame, she said. This way you can store the syrup in the fridge and use it for a long time.
