Bushra Ansari, sister rap for peace between India and Pakistan

Bushra Ansari and her sister Asma Abbas have attempted to de-escalate tensions between India and Pakistan with their new rap music video.  Their music video, Humsaye Maa Jaye, was released on April 3. The two sisters rap to the verses written by Neelum Ahmad Bashir that highlight the unnecessary divisions between the neighbouring countries. It also shows that the common man wants peace, but politics and war-mongers create distances between them. "A music video that goes beyond war and borders to the hearts of people living so close, and yet so far away," reads its caption. Ansari shared in a recent BBC interview that people have showed immense love for the song. “My inbox is filled with viewers' feedbacks who say the song is the voice of their soul,” she says.
