Ali is a suspect in a currency smuggling case. Prosecutor Ameen Feroze submitted a report in court too. Related: Ayyan Ali hasn’t been appearing in court because she is ‘scared’ of being arrested On March 9, the court declared Ali a proclaimed offender and expressed displeasure over her constant absences. Multiple letters have been written to her and she was granted two months’ time still she hasn’t appeared before the court, said the judge. The court issued a ‘permanent’ arrest warrant for Ali and summoned all the witnesses at the next hearing. A permanent arrest warrant means that whenever she arrives in Pakistan, she will be arrested. Ali was arrested on March 14, 2015 at the Islamabad airport while attempting to board a Dubai-bound flight while illegally carrying $500,000. Follow SAMAA English on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
