ngelina Jolie is taking on her first superhero movie. She is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming Marvel film The Eternals, marking her debut in the comic giant's expansive superhero universe, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
No official announcement has been made but it is understood that Marvel is moving ahead with the project after studio president Kevin Feige
confirmed its development last April, as part of Marvel’s so-called ‘Phase 4’.

The Eternals will follow a long-running conflict between two at-odds super-powered groups. It’s unclear who Jolie will play in
The Eternals, which will be directed by Chloe Zhao, whose 2018 film
The Rider was named the best picture of the year by the National Society of Film Critics.
Jolie’s 2014 film
Maleficent made
more than $700 million worldwide, and her films—which include the lucrative
Kung Fu Panda series—have grossed
more than $2 billion, according to Box Office Mojo.
Jolie is currently working on
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to the successful Sleeping Beauty spin-off from 2014.
