Malaysian oil company will likely re-open its office in Pakistan, says BoI chaiperson
[caption id="attachment_1714892" align="alignnone" width="640"] File photo: AFP[/caption] Mahathir Mohamad, the Malaysian prime minister, will arrive in Pakistan on a two-day visit on March 22 and attend the Pakistan Day parade on March 23 as the chief guest. Haroon Sharif, the chairperson of the Board of Investment, said that four or five Memorandums of Understanding are expected to be signed during Mohamad's visit. He said that the officials of 15 Malaysian companies will also accompany the Malaysian PM, adding that Malaysia and Pakistan are likely to sign MoUs in the car assembling, meat, telecom and stones sectors. The BoI chairperson added that Malaysian palm oil companies are likely to invest in the Pakistan food processing industry and PETRONAS, the Malaysian oil and gas company, will establish its office in Pakistan again.
