Karachi West DIG says she paid a man Rs1.2 million to kill Adeel Khilji
Photo: AFP The stepmother of Pak Sarzameen Party worker Adeel Habib Khilji has been taken into custody for allegedly getting her son killed, police said on Thursday. Karachi’s District West DIG Amin Yousafzai said Khilji’s stepmother had him killed. She paid a man, Saeed Ali, Rs1.2 million for the job, he said, adding that Ali sent her a voice note four minutes after the incident. He confirmed that the stepmother, Hajra, has been arrested. Khilji was reportedly killed over a property dispute. Related: PSP worker shot dead in Karachi The PSP worker was shot dead near Five Star Chowrangi in Karachi on February 18. He contested the general elections for the PS-122 seat. He received 1,978 votes. PSP leader Asif Hasnain had said Indian intelligence agencies were behind the killing.
