Doctors want parents to take care of their kids as the weather changes after eight die in Hyderabad

Kids are especially susceptible to the change in weather. Eight children under the age of five died on Thursday at Civil Hospital, Hyderabad. They were reported to be infected with pneumonia and meningitis. Doctors have said that parents should take care of their children’s health, especially during the winter. The eight deaths at Civil hospital were reported in 24 hours. The children were aged between one day and five years. Dr Muhammad Iqbal, the head of the paediatrics ward at the hospital, said that viral infections are common now because of the weather change. “There has been an increase in the number of pneumonia patients in winters,” he said. Professor Shazia of Liaquat Medical University said, “We do not have ventilator support or intensive care but otherwise everything is available including staff and medicines so patients can be managed accordingly.” According to experts, these diseases can be fatal for weak children.
