Karachi: Commuters to face gridlocks as Saddar roads get under construction

KARACHI: The construction of two main thoroughfares will continue to cause troubles to the commuters who will pass through Saddar area of Karachi in a few more months. The road leading to Saddar through Bambino from MA Jinnah Road has been dug up for the reconstruction after which the road will continue to buckle under massive traffic jam. According to daily Dawn, the chief engineer of the project Muhammed Khalid said the roads – Abdullah Haroon Road, Zaibunnisa Street, Garden Road, Aga Khan III Road - are being reconstructed, adding the project worth Rs.643 is slated to be complete by May. Khalid said the section of road between MA Jinnah Road and Garden has been opened for traffic. –Samaa
