Speaking with media personnel in Lahore, the PPP leader and veteran lawyer said that Sharif family were let loose in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case. "Sharif family were let loose in the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case when in criminal cases this does not happen," he said. "Even the Lahore High Court's decision with regard to the Hudiabiya Paper Mills case is wrong." Referring to Justice Mian Saqib Nisar's comments, Aitzaz Ahsan said that it seems as if the Chief Justice got angered quite a lot. "In his anger he mentioned Baba Rahmat," said Aitzaz. Aitzaz Ahsan said that if decisions like the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case kept coming, the masses' confidence over the courts would decrease. Tareen disqualified, Imran saved PTI chief Imran Khan was saved from disqualification in Hanif Abbasi's petition while his party's former Secretary General Jahangir Tareen was disqualified. After the decision came, Tareen stepped down from his post a day later on moral 'grounds' stating that he had been disqualified on technical grounds and that he had provided the whole money trail. Imran Khan had supported Tareen after the verdict had come and had turned his guns on Nawaz Sharif, thanking God for saving the cricketer-turned-politician from disqualification. The Supreme Court of Pakistan had ruled that the PTI Chairman was neither the director nor owner of Niazi Services.
