DHAKA: Chris Gayle hit a sparkling century to power Rangpur Riders to a thumping 57-run victory in the final of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Season 5 at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, on Tuesday.

Gayle hit 18 massive sixes in his 146 off 69 balls and was well supported by former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum who chipped in with a 43-ball 51 to guide their team to 206 in 20 overs. Chasing the 207-run target, Dhaka Dynamites could manage only 149 in 20 overs. Gayle, of course, is the Man of the Match
