PCB summons Mohammad Sami over fixing allegations

LAHORE: Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Sami was summoned by PCB on Friday to seek his clarification pertaining to fixing allegations in BPL. According to details, Sami was summoned by the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The fast bowler had returned to the country after playing in the Bangladesh Premier League. Sami had been summoned by the unit on a notice of demand. Colonel Azam of the Anti-Corruption Unit of PCB grilled Sami over past Bangladesh Premier League fixing allegations. According to the cricket board, Mohammad Sami was not issued a show-cause notice. The fast bowler was also cleared by PCB to play in the upcoming T10 cricket league. "We have asked him questions and he has provided us with answers and his clarification," said Salman Naseer, PCB Manager Legal. "He will go to play in the T10 league on December 12." Sami plays for the Rajshahi Kings in Bangladesh Premier League. He returned to Pakistan after the team was not able to advance further in the tournament.
