Qatari royals arrive in Pakistan

According to our correspondent, the Qatari royals, who landed at Lahore airport through an especial aircraft, will meet ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at his Jati Umra residence. Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim, the prime minister of Qatar from 2007 to 2013, was business partner of Sharif family. He was also named in Panama Papers. In connection with Panama Papers case against Nawaz Sharif and his children, Al Thani had filed two letters to the Supreme Court as an evidence of his family’s business relations with Nawaz Sharif’s father. Al Thani had refused to record his statement to a Joint Investigation Team of Pakistan in the Panama Papers Leaks case. - Samaa
