Hot weather to persist in Pakistan

Climate ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that hot weather will continue to persist in the country, Samaa reported. According to the weather department, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country while very hot weather is likely in upper Sindh and south Punjab for the next 24 hours. The meteorological department has predicted light rain-thunderstorm is expected at a few places in  Makran, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu divisions, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. “Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Sargodha divisions, Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan,” PMD stated.
